California Water Institute for Teachers: Solano County

BAY-DELTA EDUCATORS! Join us this summer for a multi-day training for K-12 teachers, focused on Solano County water resources, the importance of open spaces and first-hand experiential learning opportunities. This experience will provide teachers with the tools to support students in learning about local watersheds and their function, and to support development of environmental literacy about the places where students live and recreate. Highlights of the training will include a Lake Berryessa boat tour of Lake Berryessa with a local water engineer, tour of select Solano County open spaces with a focus on the water education opportunities to explore at each site, Project WET training, feast on local artisan fare, earning up to 18 hours of continuing education credit and an opportunity to receive a $200 stipend.
