California Association of Science Educators Workshop

The Project WET (Water Education Today) workshop at the California Association of Science Educators statewide conference provides educators with hands-on, place-based activities to teach water science and conservation. Participants will explore interdisciplinary, standards-aligned curricula designed to engage students in critical thinking about water issues through interactive simulations and field-tested activities.

In this session, participants will engage in an investigation about groundwater contamination and model the impacts of development in a riparian area. Key themes include point and non-point source pollution, ecosystem health, data collection, human health and environmental justice.
