Water Education in a Changing Climate | Los Angeles, CA | March 12, 2016
LOS ANGELES EDUCATORS! Join the USC Sea Grant program and fellow educators for a FREE hands-on professional development workshop addressing climate change impacts with regards to California’s water supply. Learn how the interdisciplinary activities can help you communicate about climate science and water issues us as weave “Science and Engineering Practices” (SEPs) and Cross Cutting Concepts into the engaging content (DCIs) already featured in two outstanding and proven curricular tools: Project Wet and California’s place-based EEI. Our workshop models activities that are practical for teachers, yet also engages student interdisciplinary critical thinking skills that are at the core of CCSS and NGSS. To register, please contact Kirk Amato via email or (916) 341-6762.
