Project WET Waters of Lake Tahoe Workshop | U.C. Davis Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences (Incline Village, NV) | May 7, 2015
Join us for this workshop in the beauty of the Tahoe Basin, where you will experience fun, hands-on Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) activities to support teaching Common Core and Next Generation Science standards and how to use them to integrate study of Tahoe ecosystems and watershed processes in your classroom.
The interdisciplinary Project WET activities are effective tools for integrating student knowledge of water resources through the study of real-life scenarios that provide strong foundations for STEAM and Service-Learning programs. This workshop will maximize participant time engaged in activities and you’ll walk away loaded with classroom ready content and skill development to study water in the Tahoe Basin, drought, water conservation and the new standards.
Please bring your lunch. Participants will also be introduced to the latest addition to Project WET’s Kids In Discovery Series (KIDS) booklets – KIDS: Discover the Waters of Lake Tahoe – and will walk away with class sets as well as your own copy of Project WET Guide 2.0!
To Register: Please contact Joy Barney at (530) 543-2685 or via email. Registration will close Friday, May 1, 2015.
