Project WET Educator Workshop | Warsaw, IN | August 1, 2019
Teachers, scout leaders, nature center educators, and others interested in environmental education are invited to attend a Project WET workshop. Participants will be introduced to Project WET, an award winning international environmental education program. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Fish and Wildlife sponsors Project WET. This workshop is designed to help educators teach water-focused conservation education programs to students, kindergarten through 12th grade, in formal and non-formal classrooms. Project WET materials are correlated to Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and Indiana State Standards. Project WET’s lessons are designed to foster awareness, appreciation and stewardship of water resources, while expanding students’ knowledge and skills.
At the workshop, educators will participate in hands-on activities, learn how to tailor activities to their students, and where to go for further information. There is no cost associated with this workshop. Participants will receive a Project WET activity guide and other related resources. Limited seats are available; pre-registration is required.
