Investigating Water Quality: A Workshop for Educators in the Great Lakes Region | Gary, IN | March 16, 2019 

Investigate water quality and learn how to protect local waterways. During this workshop, participants will discover how pharmaceuticals and personal care products impact watersheds and human and wildlife health. Participants will explore hands-on activities focused on water quality and the Great Lakes. By the end of this workshop, participants will know how to measure water quality with monitoring equipment used by field scientists. This workshop is open to both formal and informal educators.

There is a $10 registration fee in attending this workshop. Curriculum guides are provided free of charge by the Indiana DNR. At the completion of this workshop, participants will receive a Project WET-Healthy Water Healthy People educator guide, a certificate of workshop completion, and 6 Professional Points that can be applied towards Teacher’s Continuing Education hours.
