NORTHERN SAN JOAQUIN EDUCATORS! Join us for an exploration of floodplain environments of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and two of its direct tributaries, while learning about the vital ecosystem services they provide for human and natural communities of the region from wetland habitat and flood control to carbon sequestration. A full-day field includes a canoe tour of Cosumnes River riparian habitats and visiting DWR's Carbon Sequestration Project on Twitchell Island. Participants will receive Project WET training and a copy of Guide 2.0, contacts for potential classroom field experiences, planning time to integrate institute experiences into your curriculum and a $200 stipend upon completion of your curriculum integration project. Two TCSJ college units are available!
