Since 1976, Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center has been helping people connect to each other and the natural world. Shaver’s Creek staff will highlight how they incorporate ‘Climate, Water, and Resiliency’ into various areas such as Live Animal Care and Education, Learning through Citizen Science, Research supporting Effective Technology Use in Environmental Education, and developing Outreach Education. We'll hear from multiple experts including Dr. Lucy McClain, Assistant Teaching Professor and Science and Education Program Director; Jason Beale, Animal Care Program Director; Abby Flanders, Raptor Program Coordinator; Joe Whitehead, Amphibian and Reptile (Herp) Program Coordinator; Doug Wentzel, Naturalist and Program Director; Jon Kauffman, Assistant Program Director; Joshua Potter, Educational Operations Manager; Matt Marsden, Outdoor School and Discovery Camp Assistant Director! In order to receive the 6 hrs Act 48, Project WET 2.0 Guide and the Climate, Water & Resiliency Unit participants must attend both dates and complete the assigned homework activities (approx. 2 hours).
