Central Valley Flood Plain Ecology Workshop | Fresno, CA | June 12-15, 2018

SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY EDUCATORS!  The 2018 Central Valley Flood Plain Ecology Workshop will include examples of NGSS aligned curriculum with a focus on California water issues, watershed ecology, and California habitats. The five types of California wetlands will be investigated: riverine, palustrine, marine, lacustrine, and estuarine. Meet and learn from leading water scientists and researchers; engage in California Science Standards aligned field study and data collection techniques and California Science Standards (NGSS) lesson planning strategies; enjoy a field study by charter bus to various wetlands; and receive FREE Education and the Environment Initiative (EEI), Project WET and other valuable classroom resources! University credit and $200 stipend optional. Limited to the first 30 participants to register!
