LS & CO WATER AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
Water is vital to our business, our people and our planet – which is why Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&Co.) is committed to reducing our water impact while challenging the industry to do the same. Moving our industry forward also means educating our employees about this precious resource’s impact on our business and our global communities. And sharing that message contributes to our aspirational goal of getting to net positive.
That’s why we have partnered with the Project WET Foundation (Water Education for Teachers) to equip our employees with the resources to teach schoolchildren about the importance of water conservation and WASH (Water, Access, Sanitation and Hygiene) in a meaningful and engaging way.
On World Water Day in 2016, we made a commitment to the White House that we would train 100% of LS&Co.'s corporate employees in the LS&Co. Project WET water curriculum by 2020. The curriculum empowers employees to be knowledgeable change agents and advocates for water awareness in their communities.
The idea is that once you’re empowered with this knowledge, you can take that curriculum back to your local communities, serving as water conservation ambassadors and teaching what you’ve learned to students in schools near you. Your water expertise pays it forward for future generations.
CONSERVE WATER CHILDRENS' BOOKLET

Designed around the idea of actions that kids can take “in their jeans” to save water, the booklet can be taken home to allow children to share its messages with their families to encourage adoption of actions that conserve and protect water. The booklet is currently available in English and simplified Chinese.
"WHERE'S THE SOAP" POSTER
This colorful poster complements the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) activities found in the Training Guide. The central theme of the poster is focused on hand washing, with additional words of wisdom related to clean drinking water and protecting water sources.
