New Short Documentary Finds that Earth's Driest Places May Hold the Key to the Future of Water

A new short documentary from the Emmy-winning nonprofit news organization Retro Report contends that the future of water just may be in an unlikely place: Windhoek, Namibia. Produced in collaboration with Quartz, "Why Earth's Driest Places May Hold the Key to the Future of Water" is the latest video in the What Happens Next series, examining the future of society.

Project WET Board member and water reuse expert Dr. Alan Rimer previewed the documentary and called it "extraordinarily well done and well balanced". He added that the system described is very much like the water reuse system that Astronaut Ricky Arnold used on the International Space Station and which Dr. Rimer explained in a recent post on this blog.
