During the visit, he learned how the school is using Project WET water education materials to teach their students about the value of water.

Baucus said in a press release after the visit, "It's so terrific to see these bright young students learning the same materials students in Montana are learning about taking care of our precious water. Whether you live in Shanghai or Choteau, learning about water is a critical part of being a good steward. I've always believed we owe it to our kids and grandkids to leave this place in better shape than we found it. That's why I'm so encouraged to see this partnership flourishing."

In addition to meeting with 28 students, Jincai staff, an Education Ministry Official, and two representatives from Nestle Waters, Senator Baucus participated in the Blue Planet activity.

Project WET President and CEO Dennis Nelson said in the same press release, "Water conservation is something that bridges all boundaries and all cultures, and we're so thankful Senator Baucus took time to highlight this important educational partnership while in China. We look forward to continuing our work with schools around the globe to encourage young people to become informed and water-conscious leaders of tomorrow."
