South Korean young people played Incredible Journey in the Water Culture and Citizens Forum Project WET Foundation Chief Operating Officer John Etgen last week attended Korea International Water Week (KIWW) in Daegu as an invited expert. Project WET's partner in South Korea, the Korea Water Forum, supported John's trip to KIWW. While there, he participated in the Water Leaders Round Table and led the discussion off with a plea for water stewardship and the value of water education in meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He also proposed water education as a cross-cutting intervention for all SDGs and stewardship activities. Several keynotes called out the need for education to help meet the SDGs.

John participated in the Water Leaders Round Table, where he asserted the value of water education in meeting the SDGs and the importance of water stewardship John led a workshop for KIWW participants focused on Sustainable Water Management, Climate Change and Collaboration. Attendees included the Minister of Water for Sri Lanka and his team, a Ministry of the Environment official from South Korea, teachers and NGO staff. The Korea Water Forum, led young people in the Incredible Journey activity at KIWW's Water Culture and Citizens Forum. After KIWW, John stayed on in South Korea to lead a workshop for the Korea Water Forum to help them lead further Korea implementation.
