Bozeman, Montana—The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) has included the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide 2.0 on its NSTA Recommends® list of the best supplements available for science teaching. Calling Guide 2.0 "comprehensive, with sound pedagogy and thoughtful activities," NSTA's expert reviewer Professor Diana Wiig enthusiastically recommended the 616-page Guide 2.0 to science teachers, including NSTA's 60,000 members.
Prof. Wiig singled out Guide 2.0's commitment to moving learners from education to action, noting that "several of the topics include a way for teachers and students to take positive, proactive actions in their own community." Project WET advocates ActionEducation(TM), empowering students to take action in their communities to help solve local water issues.

The Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide 2.0 contains 64 multidisciplinary water-related activities for K-12 students. The guide features cross-reference and planning charts, a
glossary and background material on activity development and field testing. The cornerstone of Project WET is its methodology of teaching about water resources through hands-on, investigative, easy-to-use activities. In May, Guide 2.0 was awarded a Gold Medal in the 2013 Independent Publisher Book Awards contest, which recognizes the year's best independently published books in a broad range of subjects.
Not available for direct purchase, Guide 2.0 is distributed to formal and non-formal educators through workshops offered across the country by Project WET's network of local and state partners. Educators who have previously taken a Project WET workshop are eligible to take an online refresher course to receive Guide 2.0.
