Worldwide Water Education

Educate. Empower. Act. The mission of Project WET is to reach children, parents, educators and communities of the world with water education. We invite you to join us in educating children about the most precious resource on the planet — water.

Nestlé Waters Management and Technology (MT)

Through its global support, Nestlé Waters MT is helping children develop a water ethic and understand the importance of water. By teaching children about water, Project WET and Nestlé Waters are working to ensure the sustainability of one of our most precious resources.”

Nestlé Waters Management and Technology (MT)
Nestlé Waters Management and Technology, based in Paris, France, has sponsored Project WET’s international expansion since 1998.

Originally, it sponsored participation in the World Water Forum and then supported development of Project WET translations and adaptations in Mexico and the Philippines. It then supported global expansion, allowing Project WET’s international programs to grow dramatically into 2010.

Impact of Sponsorship
Through support from Nestlé Waters MT, Project WET has:

  • expanded its global water education network to 42 countries.
  • reached over 50,000 educators and one million children with water education.
  • partnered with over 100 global organizations.
  • implemented water education materials and programs on all five continents.

Nestlé Waters MT support has enabled Project WET to develop:

  • develop new water education teacher modules (conservation and hydration).
  • create interactive student materials.
  • develop online resources and activities.
  • grow globally.

In addition, the company’s support has initiated Project WET water education programs in:

  • Vietnam.
  • Hungary.
  • Italy.
  • United Arab Emirates.
  • France.
  • Pakistan.
  • Mexico.
  • Philippines.
  • Thailand.

  • South Korea.
  • United Kingdom.

Project WET’s participation in the World Water Forums, from the Second World Water Forum in the Hague through the Fifth World Water Forum in Istanbul in 2009, has been sponsored by Nestlé Waters MT. This support has allowed Project WET to help elevate water education to one of the highest priority themes of the Fifth World Water Forum.

The Global Water Education Village™ has been sponsored by the company since its inception in 2003, and the event grows each year.
