Water We Singing About? Coordinator Cooperation in Arizona!

Kevin Kopp, New Jersey Project WET Coordinator, at a workshop in ArizonaKevin Kopp, New Jersey Project WET Coordinator, leads Arizona educators in song at a special guest workshop Many people like to visit Arizona when their own homes are cold and covered in snow. This year, New Jersey Project WET Coordinator Kevin Kopp was one of the many “snow birds” visiting the state, and the Arizona Project WET team was lucky to take advantage of his presence to hold a workshop based on his recently released CD of water-themed songs, "Water We Singing About?".

On workshop day, we mixed a dozen teachers excited to bring music to their classroom, some fun WET lessons and Kevin’s delightful guitar and singing and cooked up a great day full of fun, STEAM learning (that's science, technology, engineering, ARTS and math) and laughter. Some of the fan favorites included pairing "The Incredible Journey" with the song “Wheel of Water,” a round that requires each team of two or three to sing their own part with great focus, and developing verses for our very own, Tucson version of “All the Rivers Run”--a special challenge in a place with many non-flowing rivers!
