Publications

The Watershed Manager Educators Guide
This adaptable 150-page educators guide is an introduction to watershed management appropriate for learners from middle school to adult audiences. Content includes defining and profiling watersheds, investigating basic water principles, characterizing water users, identifying, analyzing, and discussing issues, exploring management options and strategies, and planning. Learners use higher level thinking skills to deliberate real world watershed management challenges and opportunities.

Discover a Watershed: Educators Guides
Each book is comprised of a detailed reference section and a set of learning activities that are teacher-tested and tailored to a specific watershed. Developed for formal and non-formal educators, these guides provide a non-biased presentation of natural and human history, plant and animal communities, hydrology, water use and management, and contemporary issues.

Example Activity

Included in each 300-page guide are high quality photographs, illustrations, maps, and student copy sheets that may be photocopied and distributed to students.

KIDs (Kids In Discovery Series) Activity Booklets
These colorful 16-page activity booklets are written and illustrated for readers age eight through twelve. Watersheds are explored through creative and hands-on investigations, demonstrations, science experiments, educational games, and stories. Focused on specific watersheds, these booklets are informative, exciting, and fun to use.
